Who we are

Grace Aid has been working to alleviate poverty since 2008. Our vision is a world where everyone flourishes, inspired by John 10:10. By providing food, medical equipment, and training, we address immediate needs while fostering sustainable development and long-term change.

Our Theory of Change

Our approach integrates relief aid, development, and justice to create pathways for transformation. We empower individuals through holistic psycho-social support, skills training, and entrepreneurial education, helping them break the cycle of poverty.

The Problem

South Africa is one of the most unequal countries in the world (World Bank, 2024).
62.6% of the population (35 million people) live in poverty.
Female-headed households are disproportionately affected (Statistics South Africa).

Our Response

Supporting a network of 50 nonprofit organisations serving the materially poor: widows, orphans, and refugees.
Providing essential training in first aid, farming, poultry rearing, and nonprofit governance.
Journeying alongside vulnerable individuals to help them achieve wholeness and financial independence.

Our programs help people to be more employable. 10 obtained jobs at a CMT enterprise, several have started their own business thanks to our year-long program and business course.

Some of our programs include household food and nutrition security and we provide food to our partner network

Safer communities

Registered lawyers give classes on safety of women and children and this is reinforced by teaching by our registered Social Worker

Our network of NPO promotes social cohesion, leadership and citizenry.
