Who we are

Grace Aid has been working to alleviate poverty since 2008. Our vision is a world where everyone flourishes, inspired by John 10:10. By providing food, medical equipment, and training, we address immediate needs while fostering sustainable development and long-term change.

Our Theory of Change

Our approach integrates relief aid, development, and justice to create pathways for transformation. We empower individuals through holistic psycho-social support, skills training, and entrepreneurial education, helping them break the cycle of poverty.

The Problem

  • South Africa is one of the most unequal countries in the world (World Bank, 2024).
  • 62.6% of the population (35 million people) live in poverty.
  • Female-headed households are disproportionately affected (Statistics South Africa).

Our Response

  • Supporting a network of 50 nonprofit organisations serving the materially poor: widows, orphans, and refugees.
  • Providing essential training in first aid, farming, poultry rearing, and nonprofit governance.
  • Journeying alongside vulnerable individuals to help them achieve wholeness and financial independence.
